Introduction
Purchasing your transit passes using the Commuter Transit Card is made even easier when you use your transit agency's online and mobile app purchase options. Before purchasing your transit passes, Enroll in the Commuter Transit Card.

Purchasing Passes on the Ventra App
This transit agency offers online and mobile app purchasing options. For the most flexible experience, the mobile app purchasing option is recommended. Follow these instructions to purchase your passes:
1. Download the Ventra app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
2. In the Ventra App, fill in the Username and Password fields if you have an existing account. Alternatively, create an account by tapping Create new account.
3. After you've created an account, use the following steps to purchase Metra Tickets:
- From the Home Screen, tap Purchase A Metra Ticket then tap Buy Metra Tickets.
- Select your departure station, your destination station, and your desired ticket-type. Tap Go to checkout.
4. Tap Payment Method > Add new credit/debit card and enter your Commuter Transit Card details. If you elected the virtual Commuter Transit Card option, follow the instructions in this article to find your card details.
Note
You will need to enter your company's billing address details, which can be found in your Commute Hub on the Commuter Cards page.
5. Tap Add payment card. Then, tap Purchase.
6. Your tickets will now be available in the Ventra Mobile App. To view your tickets, tap the Tickets tab in the lower right corner of the screen.
